“Please just end this pain,” her screams were merely echoes I barely heard. “What have you to gain seeing the face of my child before his time of birth?” But I tell myself that this is just my work. For the sake of science and stability I kept my heart cold and buried my conscience deep. I will do all that it takes and be whoever I must be I've done nothing wrong. I did what I believed. Oh God, have I done something wrong? Can we be saved after all the choices we've made? Who would take our blame with such a heavy price to pay? Will we end our days with red hands and blood upon our graves? For the sake of knowledge and security we believed in only what we can see. We fashion morals and truth that selfishly tell us how we should be. I've done nothing wrong. I've done all I need. Is there something more? Please, please tell me.
